One of the best things about living on Long Island is that you are never too far from a beach. I am fortunate enough to live minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches the U.S. has to offer! Of course, I love going to the beach during the day, but I also love going to the beach at night. There are several beaches out in the Hamptons that have free concerts throughout the summer. Two of my favorites are Meschutt Beach in Hampton Bays and Coopers Beach in Southampton.
Meschutt Beach typically has concerts on Friday nights. It is a perfect spot for families. It’s a small beach on the bay side, so the water is nice and calm. Parents don’t have to worry about rough waves and there is a section roped off for swimming. The water usually isn’t deep either so even the littlest kiddies can stand. The beach hut serves a variety of food, has a nice bar, and the restrooms are just a few steps from the beach. You don’t have to worry about your kids asking to be picked up because it’s such a short distance to walk!
Coopers Beach has been ranked as one of the best beaches in the WORLD for quite some time now. If you ever go out to the Hamptons, you MUST go to Coopers. Coopers has concerts on Wednesday nights. It is perfect for a midweek date night or family outing. This beach is much bigger than Meschutt, so we usually pack a nice picnic and bring a bottle of wine.
There are also a bunch of free concerts in Agawam Park in Southampton. Agawam Park is another one of my favorite places in Southampton. It is beautiful there! It’s right in town, so there is a lot of parking and it is close to some fabulous restaurants and shops. There is also an amazing playground and bathrooms on site. Agawam Park holds a special place in my heart being that it is the place where my husband proposed back in 2011. <3
As the sun goes down and the ocean carries in a cool breeze, it’s nice to wear a lightweight sweater to stay warm. The Wharf Sweater by Wooden Ships by Paola Buendia is the perfect sweater for those summer nights. It’s extremely cozy and lightweight. I love it in the Cinders/Breaker White combination. It screams Hamptons! However, it does come in other color combos. I also love that this sweater has a slouchy, oversized fit. You can wear it as a crew neck, pull it to the side for a one-shoulder style, and tuck it in a bit or let it gently hang. I’ve also worn it with the front knotted with a pair of cutoffs. This is definitely going to be my go-to sweater this summer!
