Transition to spring has been on my mind probably since the temperature dipped below 50 degrees! I am sure you guys have gone through this as well… at this point the weather is so back and forth it is difficult to find something to wear. I am tired of my sweaters and winter coat and ready for lightweight and fun. I feel like I have been wearing the same thing for the past few weeks. At this point I need a little inspiration to make it through the rest of winter. So, as we have been watching and reading about the latest trends for spring and it is no surprise that floral is once again going to be a prominent design this season.
It’s no surprise that I like floral and try to incorporate as much as I can into my daily wardrobe, especially when the weather starts to get warm. Spring will be a big season of floral everything, from pants to tops to shoes. Floral has been a staple design for quite some time, but it really started to pick up steam again within the last two years. I particularly like the design because it is feminine, classic and looks super cute for everyday looks to every night 😉
Cardigans are a large part of my wardrobe. There are times that a I feel cardigans are too ‘teachery’ but I don’t mind because I have several colors of the style cardigan in the above picture. They are perfect for for both indoor and outdoor events and activities.
I saw this particular cardigan on a recent shopping trip and immediately had to try it on! One of my favorite prints J. Crew has launched is called the liberty print. The print consists of a smaller floral design and has a base of color ranging from navy to red to even lighter colors such as pink. The ruffle detail coupled with the floral was just perfect for me. It is going to be one of my favorite go to spring pieces.
For this look I added a denim button up, white distressed denim and the pop of floral cardigan. Depending on the look I am going for I either button the cardi (which gives it a more work like feel) of leave it open for a more casual look. To complete the look I added a neutral heel which, I wear with pretty much everything throughout the summer!
