One shoulder tops are just — FUN! In my profession I do not necessarily wear these types of tops to work, but come the weekends and summertime, it’s on – literally. There are so many different types of one shoulder tops, how do you decide on the right one? Well, when I came across this particular J.Crew top I fell in love. First of all, I love the direction of the stripes on the ruffle and on the bodice. Very flattering. Secondly, the material is a thicker cotton which presents a more structured look. In other words, wear it all day and it won’t wrinkle:) This means the world to a working mommy and gals on the go. Am I right? Sometimes softer materials tend to bunch and not stay in place. Not this top! It is a bit shorter in length so tucking the front will also give any outfit a super cute look.
For this particular outfit I decided to go with a bermuda distressed jean short. I literally have been living in these this summer. I found them at an adorable boutique on Long Island, Ohh la la. They have several locations, but the best part is you are able to purchase online! This particular denim short comes in two color washes as well. To complete the outfit I wore my go to summer shoes to complete the look – Steve Madden Carrson. The heels add a more ‘night’ look… Simply throw on a pair of flats and you are ready to go. I am all about outfits that can easily go from day to night 😉
With this type of top it is important to keep the accessories simple, yet bold at the same time. I chose to go with these fun double hoop J.Crew earrings in blue (crisp sea to be exact) to add a subtle pop of color and a simple gold hinge bracelet to complete this look.
