It’s no surprise that my go-to store is usually J.Crew. Now, this is not because I am not open to shopping anywhere else. I just know what fits me and my bodytype. Over the last couple of years though, I have greatly expanded my shopping network to include Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch, The Gap, and most recently Kohl’s! Have you guys been to Kohl’s lately? Am I late to the party or something? Well, after a few shopping trips to the store for my kids and kitchen items, I started to meander into to the women’s section. Vera Wang, Lauren Conrad, J. Lo, Rock & Republic — Wow! Some really great names have put their brands into the store and the clothing items are just fabulous! Kohl’s also runs some really great promotions for card members but even if you are not a cardmember discounts range from 15% – 20% in addition to sale items!! So, I decided to share some of my favorite pieces with you guys, because there is really something for everyone. I am honestly not really sure why I have not picked up any pieces from this store before but, they had me at Simply Vera 🙂
These particular pieces caught my eye because of the color. I usually default to black and gray, but I am trying my best to add color wherever I can. This Lauren Conrad blazer is a soft sweater material and the LC pants are a ‘dressy’ legging. The material has a really nice weight to it and are a super flattering mid rise pant (which I love, because it sucks everything in — I had two kiddies and need help sometimes lol) The Simply Vera top is 3/4 sleeve, very comfy and comes in multiple colors. This look can be achieved for under $100 – Woo Woo!! When shopping, I am usually looking for workwear, but this super cute blazer can be paired with a fun pair of distressed denim, OTK boots, fun accessories and a clutch for a night out. (To complete the look I added a Michael Kors bag and my favorite pair of Sam Edelman heels)
Sorry for the extreme close up, but wanted to show you these adorable LC earrings I picked up as well. Oh, and they are under $10! I love the soft gold color, they are lightweight and have the prettiest detail.
Look #1:
I do enjoy a good dress and this Simply Vera number definetly does not disappoint! It is sweater material, a perfect length and comfortable. I plan to wear it to work and out on the town. The cut of the dress at the bottom caught my eye… why? It twirls! Love that it is cut on a bias giving the dress a little swing. I added a black bootie and necklace to finish off the look. Check out this Simply Vera necklace! It can be worn long or you can convert it to a double strand closer to the neckline. Would look great with a button up or v-neck sweater:)
Look #2:
Now for some sweaters! As soon as I saw this LC sweater I had to have it. The ribbon detail on the side is absolutley adorable and gives the sweater a little sass – lol. Also, it is cut a little higher in the front, longer in the back and slits on the side. Perfect for leggings or jeans! It is available in multiple colors and it under $40. This next one speaks for itself. How adorable is this LC eyelet crewneck sweater? Loving the bell sleeve and the pretty scallop edge on this one. This also comes in multiple colors and is under $30! Such great quality pieces and prices.
